Li Shunda (1915-1983) was born in a poor peasant family, worked hard to overcome many adversities, organized peasants to fight against the rent imposed by landowners, participated in the Second Sino-Japanese War and promoted mutual aid. He became Party member and a National Labor Model, attended the first National Labor Model Conference (1950) and was received by Mao. His house in Xigou Village (西沟村) was conserved and turned into a Red Tourism site.
