Zou Qikui (1948) was born in Tianjin. He graduated from the high school attached to the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in his early years. As a young man, Zou showed extraordinary artistic talent when he joined the People's Liberation Army. After changing his career in Tianjin, he entered the art publishing industry and became an expert in painting, photography, editing, and publishing in the Tianjin Yangliuqing Painting Club.
His art creation involves a wide range of works, and his main works focus on depicting the glorious images of the founding leaders and modern leaders of the Chinese Communist Party. He has won many awards in national art exhibitions and has become one of the most influential painters in China's New Year painting circles.
