Wang Xisong (王系松)
Wang Xisong (1941) was born in Zhenyuan, Guizhou Province. He started his studies in 1958 in the Fine Arts class of the Art Department of the Guizhou Institute for Nationalities, and continued his studies three years later in the Chinese Painting Class of the Art Department of Guizhou University. In 1965, he was sent to work in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region; for a long time, he was engaged in art popularization work in Shijushan City. He later became head of the cultural center there.
Wang is known for his Chinese paintings, but also produces woodblock prints.
