Wang Jue (王珏)

Wang Jue (1917, originally named Wang Dake, was born in Jiutai, Jilin Province. After his graduation from the Liaoning Art School, he worked as an art journalist for the Northeastern Illustrated (东北画报, Dongbei huabao). In the early 1950s, he was transferred to the People's Fine Arts Publishing House, where he worked as an editor and designer.

Wang is known for his New Year pictures and propaganda designs. The four-sheet series dedicated to the rural model commune Dazhai was made with Li Jiyuan, Lin Fan and Meng Qingjiang (first sheet , second sheet , third sheet , fourth sheet ). The 1974 poster 'Fight the people's battle of criticizing Lin Biao and Confucius well' , from the 'Criticize Lin Biao, Criticize Confucius'-campaign, was designed together with Zhang Ruji.
