Hu Jinqing (胡进庆)
Hu Jinqing (1936, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province), graduated in 1953 from the animated cartoon department of the Beijing Film Academy. In the same year, he started working as a designer in the animated cartoon section of the Shanghai Art Film Production Company.
Hu specializes in animated cartoons featuring paper cuttings. In 1983, he received the prestigious Chinese Golden Rooster Award for his animated cartoons, and in 1984, he was awarded the Golden Bear for short movies at the Berlin International Film Festival.
