Hong Shiqing (洪世清)
Hong Shiqing (1929) is a native of Jinjiang, Fujian Province. He started his education at the Chinese Painting Departement of the Shanghai Art School in 1948. In 1954 he graduated from the Drawing Department of the East China (Shanghai) Branch of the Central Art Academy and took up teaching. He later became Associate Professor at the Zhejiang Art Academy.
Hong is known for his sculptures, rock carvings, blockprints and Chinese paintings. Some of his works have been included in the collections of the China Art Gallery and other institutions.
