Fan Huaizhang (樊怀章)
Fan Huaizhang (1943) hails from Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Although he received no formal art training, he started working in the propaganda section of the Sichuan Forward Aircraft Factory. In 1963, he submitted his first work to newspapers. In 1982, he was transferred to become editor in the New Year picture section of the Sichuan People's Publishing House, a section which he now heads.
Fan is an expert in New Year pictures.
