Duan Weijun (段伟君)
Duan Weijun (1927) is from Wusheng, Sichuan Province. After Ms. Duan graduated from the National Hangzhou Art School, she joined the People's Liberation Army and was sent to work in the Literary Work Corps of the East China Army and Government University. In 1951, she transferred to the Army Illustrated (Jefangjun huabao, 解放军画报) to work as an editor. Two years later, in 1953, she transferred to the Serial Cartoon Editorial Office of the People's Fine Arts Publishing House, where she has been active until the present.
Ms. Duan is well-versed in serial cartoons and New Year pictures.
