Chen Hongren (陈宏仁)
Chen Hongren (1937) is from Shanghai. After his graduation from Arts Department of the Shandong normal University in 1958, he first worked for the Shandong branch office of the Chinese Artists Association and later transferred to become editor in the arts section of the Jiangxi People's Publishing House.
Although Chen is mainly known for his New Year pictures, he has won prizes with a number of comic strips he has drawn, including one devoted to Lei Feng.
